APRIL IS NATIONAL POETRY MONTH Stop in and take a peek at all the wonderful poetry books that we have on our shelves for adults and children. If you are a fan of world-famous poet, Pablo Neruda, you will want to check out The POETRY OF PABLO NERUDA which includes most of his work. To go along with the book you will enjoy Il Postino, The Postman, on DVD. It is a touching comedic film in which the Postman asks a poet (Pablo Neruda) to write love poems for him. Also on our shelves that you might be inspired to peruse or read again are the works of contemporary award winners such as Mary Oliver or Galway Kinnell. Of course, we have the classic works of Wordsworth, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Whittier, William Blake, Dylan Thomas, Allen Ginsburg or Ogden Nash, among many others. For children there are poetic fairytales, Wynken, Blyken and Nod (Eugene Field), Poetry for Young People by Robert Frost and Poetry for Young People by Emily Dickinson and Carl Sandburg wrote Adventures of a Poet.
