  The marvelous Kim Ray lead a multi-generational group of library goers in an egg decorating workshop! This was our first event in our upstairs space that used to serve as the book sale. We sat over 20 in attendance! Kim taught about the ancient Ukrainian tradition and its origins before leading to group to create their own.
Thanks to a grant for more children's books from CLiF (www.clif.org) and a grant from The Stratton Foundation to purchase all the binders, bags, and incentives, we have launched a 3-library wide program in partnership with Winhall Memorial Library and Jamaica Memorial Library! For every 100 books you read with your child (and yes, reading Brown Bear 10 times in a row counts as 10 books) your child will earn a prize and a keychain tag! Once they complete 1000, we will post their success (with your permission) and they will earn a kindergarten backpack, a book, and a Very Hungry Caterpillar backpack. Stop in to one of the three libraries today!
