Starting on October 7th, we officially became a part of the state courier service program. We are now able to source books from around the state more quickly and without paying so much in postage. Look forward to a quicker turn around for those titles you want to read but we don't have on our shelves. You can always request titles on our catalog, but if they aren't there, feel free to email us at [email protected] to request just what you're looking for. We can usually get it in one week, although sometimes it takes two.

We had an amazing turn out for the Peru Fair this past weekend! Thank you to everyone who came and visited our booth, bought a book, signed up for a library card, or just said hi! 

This Fall we have been working towards our goal of digitizing the extensive collection of glass plate photo negatives from Everett M. Vaile. There are over 2500 images from 1890-1910 of this area and region. In late August, archivists came from Montpelier to train us on the process and get the project started. So far, we have scanned 125 images. In November, we will be training a student intern from BBA to help us continue this project. Eventually you will be able to browse and research the images online. For now, stop by to browse the physical print collections of the glass plates.
